The Specialvarvet is the race for runners with intellectual disabilities. There are two distances to choose from, 2.4 and 1.4 kilometers. The Specialvarvet has become the highlight of the year for many children, youth, and adults with disabilities. The atmosphere is magical, filled with laughing and smiling people in Slottsskogen. When the warm-up begins, the celebration truly starts with dancing, singing, and applause. When the starting signal is given, participants walk, run, or roll according to their own ability and fitness, often accompanied by their assistant.
